Comparison of an automated calculation of capillary refill time with a standard clinical measurement – a pilot study

This research study investigates two different ways of measuring capillary refill time (CRT) (amount of time for blood to return to the finger after being squeezed).

Who can participate in this study?

• In order to participate in the study, your child must be aged 1-5 years, healthy and undergoing a procedure that requires general anesthesia.

Who should not participate in this study?

• Children who are having emergency or upper limb surgery, have heart and/or lung disease, problems with blood circulation, or skin diseases cannot participate. Your child’s anesthesiologist will make this judgment.

Status?

• Actively recruting subjects.
